Purpose and Vision
The CWEF aims to bring together residents from all diverse communities, decision-makers, service providers, and relevant invited people to challenge inequality and discrimination in our City, work for more equitable service provisions, to strengthen good relations between people, and to promote human rights.

The CWEF aims to develop mechanisms to ensure that residents from all diverse communities have the opportunity to articulate their views about the effectiveness of services by providing safe spaces, advocacy information and support.
The CWEF will develop a network of active citizens who work together to challenge inequalities and participate is discussions around policy and service provision in our city taking into account the cross-cutting nature of equality issues.
Our Aims
To develop mechanisms that ensure that residents from all diverse communities have access to information and are able to articulate their views about the effectiveness of bodies delivering Services across the City, especially regarding Equality, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility, including - but not exclusively to:

We strive to:

Provide safe spaces and advocacy aimed at supporting individuals and groups to raise issues and concerns.

Act as a conduit of information at grassroots and strategic levels

Create a network of active citizenship

Cooperate, coproduce and collaborate to develop a City Wide Equity Strategy, projects and programmes for residents, voluntary and community groups (unincorporated or Constituted), small and medium-sized businesses and also to establish clear mechanisms to identify and address inequity.

Lead discussions through the “Citywide Equity Forum” (CWEF) with residents and communities of the wider Wolverhampton areas focussing on how open, transparent and effective bodies are serving the public, including - but not exclusively:
